About DORK Consult
A consulting firm built around the audit, not the pitch
We started DORK Consult because too many companies in Europe were being sold strategy without anyone first checking how the business actually operates day to day. Our approach puts the audit first and the recommendations second.
What we do and why we do it this way
DORK Consult is a business consulting practice focused on companies operating in Europe. Our core discipline is the business process audit: a structured, evidence-based review of how a company's departments, workflows, and decisions actually function, compared with how leadership assumes they function. Those two pictures are rarely identical, and the gap between them is usually where the biggest, cheapest improvements are hiding.
From that starting point, we extend into strategic consulting and European market entry advisory, because the questions our clients bring us rarely stop at "fix this one process." An owner who asks us to audit their logistics workflow is often, underneath, also asking whether the company is ready to expand into a second country, or whether its current structure will hold up as it grows. We are built to answer both the narrow question and the wider one.
We keep engagements scoped and documented. Before any work begins, you receive a written proposal describing exactly what will be reviewed, what you will receive at the end, and what it will cost. There is no open-ended billing and no vague "ongoing retainer" by default — only clearly bounded projects that can be extended if both sides want to continue working together.
Our approach
Four principles that shape every engagement
Evidence before advice
We do not open a project with recommendations. We open with interviews, document review, and process mapping, and only form conclusions once we can show the reasoning behind them.
Written, specific deliverables
Every engagement ends with a document you can act on: process maps, a findings summary, and a prioritised list of changes, not a verbal debrief you have to reconstruct from memory.
Regional, practical knowledge
Our consultants have worked with companies across several European countries and pay attention to how local business practice, not just formal regulation, shapes what actually works.
Confidentiality by default
Operational and financial details shared during an audit stay within the project team, protected under the terms agreed with you before the engagement begins.
Our team
Consultants who have run operations, not only advised on them
Our team combines backgrounds in operations management, financial analysis, and market development. Rather than assigning a single generalist to every project, we build a small working group around the specific issue you bring us, so a logistics-heavy audit is led by someone with logistics experience, and a market-entry project is led by someone who has actually opened operations in a new country before.
Where we work
Based in Bucharest, working across Europe
Our office is located on Bulevardul Decebal in București, Romania. From there, our consultants travel to client sites or work remotely across Europe, depending on what each engagement requires. Whether your company is based in Romania or elsewhere on the continent, we structure projects around your team's schedule and location.
- On-site interviews and process observation when a project benefits from being physically present.
- Remote audits and consulting for companies where documentation review and video interviews are sufficient.
- Hybrid engagements combining an initial on-site visit with remote analysis and reporting.
- Coordination across multiple offices for companies operating in more than one European country.
